Very nice place for Kippen (that means chicken). Ask for a table in fall because they have not too much visitors in this season and if nobody is there, they close early (we phoned at 20:00 and no guests were there, so we went there the next evening).

Awesome! Nice staff and delicious chicken! Excellent for a group but also for couples.
We were just a group there. Celebration of jubilees 40 years. There were people who had cold chicken soup. And they didn't ask if there was enough or even ask if they wanted something to drink. There was also some fuss with dessert. We had the feeling that new people were working. All in all, very unfortunate. While I have been there many times and it was always very good. Hope this gets better soon
Just outside the built-up area of Drachten on the road to the village of Opeinde is this attractive restaurant where chicken is central. Not only are chickens over-represented in the interior with statues and paintings, but the menu is also complete, but short and concise: there It says what you get and you get what it says, in my case the Chicken Picasso with grilled fruit and bavarois (photos).
This lack of pretentious nonsense is a welcome relief compared to other eateries, but at the same time it is a disappointment: the chickens are put on a spit every day in the early afternoon and by dinner time they are so tender that the meat falls off the bone. The supplied potatoes are crispy and the apple sauce is as it was intended. And the service even has the opportunity to ask halfway through if everything is to your liking; When the question was asked, I only noticed that it had been a long time since this happened.

Lots and delicious. I already said a lot. An intimate, cozy restaurant with knowledgeable staff. Delicious food and like I said, they don't skimp on the portions. From the salad as a starter, Beppe's chicken to dessert, really delicious! Highly recommended!
